Originally from Salzburg in Austria, I've been living in Lichfield UK with my English family for over 20 years. I started teaching German at the Berlitz Language Centre in 2000 and since have taught in various language institutions. Since 2011 I've been teaching German and English online using Skype. My learners are students and pupils, who want to catch up and raise their German exam grades, as well as business clients and adults with work or family commitments in a German speaking country.I tutor all German language levels in accordance with the Common European Framework, but have most experience tutoring for Beginners, GCSE, A-level. I've carried out all formative and summative assessments in the four language learning skills, regularly assessing students’ class work in accordance with National Curriculum policies.
I have taught German as a foreign language to adult learners in colleges with responsibility for assessing learners' needs and planning detailed lesson plans using embedded literacy, numeracy and ICT. I also deliver language training programmes online in relation to specific business areas, such as making appointments, answering the telephone, socialising when travelling, understanding more in meetings, business correspondence, and negotiations.
